Optiwork by Optidata
Elevating business with cloud

We believe a company's work should live in the organization, not inside people's heads.

Optiwork was born from a simple observation: as companies grow, their work gets scattered. Files in one place, communication in another, projects in a third. Every team builds its own stack. And before long, nobody has a complete view of what's actually happening.

That's not just a tooling problem. It's a structural problem, one that affects management, execution, governance, and ultimately growth.

Optiwork is a unified corporate environment where planning, execution, communication, and documentation happen in one place. With control, traceability, and institutional memory built in. Not another tool to add to the stack, the environment that replaces the need for so many tools in the first place.

Our vision is that a company's information and knowledge should belong to the organization, not to the individuals who happen to hold it today. That's how we elevate business, through infrastructure that organizes not just servers, but work itself.

About Optidata

Optiwork is built by Optidata.

A cloud infrastructure and enterprise platform company. It was founded in 2010 by Darlan Segalin together with two partners, whose shares Darlan later acquired, taking full ownership of the business. In 2022, his brother Liandro Segalin joined as a partner.

What started as a small IT consultancy became one of the largest independent cloud platforms in its market. Today, Optidata serves 7,000+ companies, manages 25,000+ servers, and processes over 15 petabytes of data across 5 proprietary data center structures, all self-funded, without external investors.

The company has grown 50% year over year since its pivot to cloud. That independence shapes everything: long-term thinking, client-first decisions, and full control over infrastructure and roadmap.

7,000+ companies served
25,000+ servers managed
15+ PB of data processed
5 proprietary data centers

In 2014, Darlan and Liandro founded a separate venture, Amplimed, with a specific goal: to learn how to build software. At that point, Optidata was a cloud infrastructure company. It didn't develop software. Amplimed would change that. They built a healthcare SaaS running entirely on Optidata's cloud, and over the years turned it into the largest ERP in the healthcare market. In 2021, Amplimed was acquired by Grupo RD (Raia Drogasil), one of the largest retail corporations in Latin America, serving 20,000+ healthcare professionals and 9 million patients at the time of the acquisition.

But the real legacy of Amplimed wasn't the exit. It was the know-how. Every lesson Darlan and Liandro learned, building products, designing interfaces, shipping features, scaling under real load, became the foundation for everything that came next. Optiwork is the direct result of that experience. Built on the software expertise earned through Amplimed, running on infrastructure Optidata has refined for over 15 years.

Our story

From a two-person consultancy to a global cloud platform.

Without a single dollar from investors.

  1. 2010

    Founded

Darlan Segalin founds Optidata as an IT consultancy together with two partners. Over time, Darlan acquires their shares and takes full ownership. No outside capital. Just the work.

  2. 2012

    The cloud pivot

After seeing companies struggle with cloud providers that didn't understand their reality, foreign billing, distant support, overseas infrastructure, Optidata bets everything on building an independent, enterprise-grade cloud platform.

  3. 2014

    Amplimed: the software bet

Darlan and Liandro found Amplimed, not to build a business, but to learn how to build software. Until that moment, Optidata was infrastructure, not a software company. Amplimed changed that. Running entirely on Optidata's cloud, it eventually became the largest ERP in the healthcare market.

  4. 2018

    Scale

Optidata crosses 3,000 clients. Growth rate: 50% year over year, every year. Still bootstrapped. The cloud now runs ERPs, databases, and production workloads for companies across multiple industries.

  5. 2021

    Amplimed acquired

Amplimed is acquired by Grupo RD (Raia Drogasil), one of the largest retail corporations in Latin America. At that point: 20,000+ healthcare professionals, 3,000 clinics, 9 million patients. But the real legacy wasn't the exit, it was the software development expertise now living inside the team that builds Optidata.

  6. 2022

    Liandro joins. Optiwork is born.

Liandro Segalin officially becomes a partner at Optidata. Together, the brothers channel everything they learned building Amplimed into a new product: Optiwork, a unified corporate workplace platform. Optidata stops being just infrastructure, it becomes a software company too.

  7. 2024

    International expansion

Optidata opens offices in the United States and deploys cloud regions across two countries. R$30M invested in infrastructure expansion, R&D, and international operations.

  8. Now

    100% proprietary software

7,000+ companies. 15+ petabytes. 5 data center structures. 3 offices across 2 countries. Every product in the ecosystem built in-house, running on infrastructure we own end to end. Still founder-led. Still self-funded. Still elevating business with cloud.

  9. Next

    AI-native infrastructure

We're building AI into the core of how our platforms operate, not as an add-on, but as a native layer. On Optidata Cloud, that means intelligent monitoring, predictive scaling, and automated incident response. On Optiwork, it means an AI co-pilot that actually has context, because it sits on top of your company's real data, decisions, and communication history. AI only works when the foundation is organized. We've spent 15 years building that foundation.

SOC 2 Type II

Security audited end to end. Not just our servers, our entire operation.

Optidata holds a SOC 2 Type II certification, one of the most recognized security standards in the industry, based on AICPA criteria.

The audit didn't just evaluate our cloud infrastructure. It assessed our internal processes, people management, financial controls, and corporate governance over an extended period. Security, availability, confidentiality, and data integrity, all independently verified.

The same standards that protect the data of 7,000+ cloud clients also protect every file, message, and document inside Optiwork.

Key points

  • Independent audit covering infrastructure, processes, and governance
  • Continuous evaluation over months, not a point-in-time snapshot
  • Security, availability, confidentiality, and data integrity verified
  • Accelerates vendor approval and compliance requirements
  • Aligns with ISO 27001, LGPD, and international data protection standards
